Janet hosts this casual get-together every month with a few more bits than Schnibbles. Bring your show-and-tell projects, ideas to share, and handwork or sewing project to work on. Each monthly project is determined by the group.  Patterns for selected Schnibbles or projects will be provided at cost during meetings. Come and enjoy a fun-filled evening with fellow quilters!

This class is based on the fascinating book “The Farmer’s Wife Sampler Quilt” by Laurie Aaron Hird. It is an ongoing year long class until your quilt is finished. We will be working on 8 – 10 blocks per month. Rotary cutting instructions, template piecing tips and shortcuts will be given for the 111 pieced blocks. We will also have fun learning about the life and times of the amazing women of the 1920’s -1930’s and exploring ways to get back to basics in our homes. Paper templates will be provided prior to class each month via e-mail.

Kristine designed this beautiful heart wall-hanging to use up those pesky smaller scraps we all have in our stash.  Though the pattern is written you’ll be testing it for any bugs before publication. You’ll receive a corrected final pattern a week after the class is over. You’ll also receive tips on strip piecing, setting blocks on point, adding borders, template cutting and more.

The warm and richly colored winter quilt from the Whimsicals Book “Tangled Up In Thread’ (Among the Stars) is the basis for this class. It has no less than 13 stars wherein ‘Y’ seams are required. If you’ve been intimidated by this subject and technique in the past, this is the class for you. You'll learn the why’s of ‘Y’ seams, as well as the how’s and you will complete at least one star in class. Instruction for the dramatic pieced border are also included - an absolute must for this quilt!

"Don’t Look Now!” patterns are whimsical and fun but they can be overwhelming to start.  Cori was fortunate to take Kellie Wulfsohn’s technique class last year and she has mastered it.  In this two part class Cori will teach layout and prep as well as free-motion appliqué and machine quilting.

You must be comfortable with the mechanics of your sewing machine and making adjustments to stitch length and both top and bobbin tension for this class
!

We are pleased to have partnered with iSewHappy to introduce the next generation to the joy of sewing and quilting through the "I Can Sew" curriculum. The talented staff of iSewHappy offer sewing lessons to children age 6 and up providing sewing machines, patterns, and hands-on instruction for beginner.  Your child will learn a valuable life-long skill.
