If you’re new to quilting or maybe it’s been a while. This is the class for you. This is a step by step class from using a rotary cutter and ruler, ¼” seam allowances, piecing, and perfect points. This class is held once a week for 6 weeks and when you’re done you will have a finished quilt top.
Art Quilts – “101” by Joyce Smith

Create a pictorial art quilt from your own photograph. Regardless of your skill level, whether you are a beginner or more advanced, you can make this class your own. Your photo and the amount of detail you wish to incorporate will determine just how challenging you wish to make it. The same process can be applied to both. In this class you will learn how to create your own pattern from a photograph; transfer the pattern to fabric; fuse and machine appliqué. We will discuss the components of a strong composition, how to use lights, darks and color for dramatic effects. Please feel free to bring a lunch and something to drink.

You know how we try to avoid multi hooping, not any more with her method. Any embroidery machine works. You just need to have a hoop size of 5x7. Plus, the finished product is stunning.
